Beautiful Lake Carroll is a private lake and golf community featuring primary homes as well as secondary homes.  Located in Northwestern Illinois, it is just 2 hours West of Chicago and it’s suburbs.  There are many towns surrounding the Lake Carroll community, providing access to all of  life’s needs, along with great opportunities for shopping! 

Started in the early 1970’s, Lake Carroll features a 640 acre lake.  Great for fishing, boating and skiing.  There is a Fishing Club which raises and stocks the lake annually.  Among the fish you can catch are Walleye, Blue Gill, Crappie, Northern, Muskie and Catfish.  The Fishing Club hosts several events throughout the year. 

Boating is a favorite sport among the residents.  With 640 acres there is plenty of room to relax on your boat or to water ski. 

If boating or fishing is not your pleasure, there is a 18 hole fully groomed and watered golf course.  Members pay no green fees to golf as it is included in your annual dues.  Our Golf Pro is available if you would like to “brush up a bit” on your golfing skills! 

The Lake Carroll Club House features great places to relax.  "Rumors" (bar) and "Season’s" (restaurant), are open for your dining and entertainment pleasure.  The Pro Shop is also located in the Club House.  A new feature is the downstairs Patio, a favorite for private parties and receptions. 

In case you are not in the mood for lake fun, and you’ve worn yourself out on the golf course, we have a new state of the art Aquatic Center.  Complete with a shallow, walk in area that is great for our youngest members, to a diving board and water slide.   If the weather proves to be a bit dreary outside, the inside pool is your best bet for swimming pleasure.

 There are 15 miles of trails for those who are wanting a bit of adventure.  You can ride  your ATV or snowmobile and see the beauty of the lake and surrounding properties.

 As if these amenities are not enough,  one of the best features of the lake is certainly not “man made”  Wild turkey and deer, among the many different types of wild life you will see as you drive around the Lake Carroll property.  Feel free to stop and admire the beautiful natural settings of our community.  Serene, relaxing, soothing,  you will leave  your “Lake House” inspired, relaxed and ready for another hectic day at the office.
